Good afternoon, 

We had a great week of practice last week, culminating in the gut check sprint practice Thursday.  I am so proud of the improvement in the first 2 weeks of the season.  

Practice

We will have regular practices Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Practice is mandatory.  Missing practice is not acceptable.  Monday and Thursday will be meet prep for those swimming in both meets.  Swimmers not swimming in Splashdown on Saturday will have a normal Thursday.  Please remember water for all practices.  

Meets

We have 2 swim meets this week.  

Tuesday, we will leave from Daniel around 3:25 to avoid the parking lot traffic.  I will work with the driver and the middle school to get Edwards students to Daniel to meet the bus.  We will feed swimmers prior to getting on the bus.  There will be food trucks at the meet, so swimmers should bring money to buy food before we head back.  We will not feed the team again after the meet.  I still need 3 parents to volunteer to time at this meet.  If you are going, please email me and let me know you are willing to help.  

Saturday, the meet is at the Greenville County Aquatic Center.  Parents must transport athletes to this meet.  Athletes are allowed on deck at 7:15 am.  I will communicate with swimmers when I know our warm up time.  We have to commit to 3 timers for this meet as well.  Please volunteer to help.  I have to send names in by Thursday.  The meet will begin at 8:30 am and conclude by 1:30 pm.

I would like to thank all the parents and swimmers that went out asking for sponsors for our GAP meet.  I am working on getting a poster for the pool with all the sponsor logos, so we can properly thank the companies and people that support our team.
